3 Car Crash Near Cambridge, With Ambulance

An Allina ambulance was involved in an accident with at least two other vehicles, according to authorities.

The crash happened at Main Street South and 18th Avenue Southwest at about 2 p.m. Monday.

According to Isanti County authorities, the vehicles involved in the accident aside from the ambulance were a dump truck and a passenger car.

A spokesperson with Allina said three patients were being transported to Cambridge Medical Center — two by air ambulance and the other by ground transportation.

The patient aboard the ambulance was airlifted back to Cambridge Hospital for evaluation, after the crash, then transported by helicopter to Abbott Northwestern.

A person in another vehicle involved in the crash was airlifted from the scene to HCMC.

The two-person ambulance crew were also taken to Cambridge Hospital for evaluation.
